OPEN ACCESS

Open Access Policy for H&N PUBLISHERS:

H-n Publishers is dedicated to the advancement of scholarly communication and recognizes the pivotal role of open access in achieving this objective. Our commitment to promoting transparency and accessibility in research is manifest in this Open Access Policy, which governs the operations of four prominent open access journals under our purview:

  1. International Journal of Criminal Justice Sciences
  2. International Journal of Instructional Cases
  3. Artseduca
  4. International Journal of Cyber Criminology

This policy articulates the guiding principles and regulations underpinning open access publishing within these distinguished journals.

Open Access Publication Model

H-n Publishers is a proponent of the gold open access publishing model. This model ensures that all content published in the aforementioned journals is made immediately accessible to the global academic community and the public without barriers. Authors or their affiliated institutions bear the publication costs, and readers are not subject to any subscription fees.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright to their work published in H-n Publishers open access journals. We strongly encourage authors to opt for open-access-friendly licenses, particularly the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which enables broad dissemination and reuse of content while respecting the original authorship.

 Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Sustaining the viability of open access publishing necessitates the imposition of Article Processing Charges (APCs) for accepted manuscripts. Authors are responsible for meeting these charges, which encompass the expenses incurred in editorial services, production, and the maintenance of the journal’s digital infrastructure. APCs are transparently displayed on the respective journal’s website.

Waivers and Discounts

H-n Publishers acknowledges the potential financial constraints that authors may encounter. In pursuit of equitable access to open access publishing, we are committed to offering waivers or discounts on APCs, evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Consideration is given to authors from regions with limited resources or those facing financial hardships.

Peer Review and Editorial Independence

H-n Publishers places paramount importance on upholding the highest standards of peer review and editorial independence. Editorial judgments are solely driven by the scholarly merits and relevance of submitted manuscripts. The financial aspects of publication remain entirely divorced from the editorial process to eliminate any conflicts of interest.

Archiving and Preservation

Preservation of scholarly content and its enduring accessibility are of utmost concern to H-n Publishers. We collaborate with reputable digital preservation archives and services to safeguard the scholarly legacy created within our open access journals.

Compliance with Funding Agency Policies

Authors bear the responsibility of ensuring that their articles align with the open access mandates of their funding agencies. H-n Publishers stands ready to provide guidance and support to authors in achieving compliance with these requirements.

Continuous Improvement

H-n Publishers remains unwavering in its commitment to the continuous enhancement of open access publishing practices and policies. We welcome feedback from the academic community to inform our ongoing efforts to elevate our open access initiatives.
